SOHO Sun Spot Activity
Latest Sun Spot Image from SOHO

 There is a well established link between sun spot activity and Earth's climate. The theory behind this says that periods of low solar activity, as indicated by reduced sun spot activity, should be cooler than normal due. Some scientists think that lower levels of solar wind result in more cosmic ray showers that, in turn, generate more low level cloud cover cooling the planet.
